Oh wow what a day! The R A I N. The sheep poo. We embraced it all with such open arms and happy faces! Clare and Simon are just epic in every way! These two first met when they were four... ! They blew out their birthday candles together. I mean, wow. After going their separate ways growing up and moving away, they were reunited over facebook and just look where they are now. What a love story!!
Every moment of this day was brilliant. Getting ready at the hotel, seeing familiar faces, carrying Clare's wedding dress all over the collossal hotel (thanks girls for your help!). And then the heavens literally opened and everything fell from the sky, and did not stop! Clare's smile did not falter, and her and Simon carried on with their day with open arms.
We managed to find 10 minutes when the sky wasn't pouring, and quickly flew around beautiful Dodford Manor for some cosy time, before enjoying a beautiful feast of food.
The cake was adorned with Thundercats lego on top (so cool), as these were a favourite during their childhood. And instead of cutting the cake, they blew out (four) candles together. It was beautiful! And then what a surprise when Clare's Dad and two brothers came out dressed as the Beatles and sang!
I laughed a lot that day. I got super soggy, I dodged a lot of sheep poo in the fields, and I had so much help and support from Clare and Simon's amazing fam and friends, along with the staff at Dodford who really do deserve a massive pat on the back. It was all just brilliant. THANKYOU you beautiful beautiful people xxx
