Firstly, I think I get extra brownie points for navigating my way round the city of Leicester for the first time ever!! But seriously, it was well worth it, my first visit to the City Rooms was just amazing, with a beautiful ball room with such lovely lovely light (oh I do love the light!). I arrived as hair and makeup was underway, with Lauren getting a head start before Lauren arrived. I was quickly trying to photograph the dresses before Laura arrived, and it was all hands on deck to make sure the two didn't bump into each other before the ceremony. It all got very exciting co-ordinating with everyone up to the final few minutes on the whereabouts of the bridal party, and before we knew it, the morning was gone and it was time to get married!
The ceremony was beautiful, and we spilled outside into the city streets with clouds of confetti and lots of passers-by who were very keen to catch a glimpse of the celebrations!
I was really excited to go for a little wander with the couple before we headed to the beautiful ball room which was dusted in hand made decorations following an Alice in Wonderland theme, and it was just a beautiful place to have a wedding reception. Lots of laughter and heart-felt speeches, before the evening descended and it was time for some cake and two father-daughter dances. I don't think there was a dry eye in the room.
An absolutely incredible day, and one I am honoured to have been part of. To be in the presence of Laura and Lauren is to be in the presence of pure love and devotion. They are so wonderful and I just adored working with them. I loved working with new suppliers, and also seeing familiar friendly faces (Matt from Fizzy Jelly Films who was again so helpful and great company).
Wishing everyone I met at this beautiful wedding so much love and happiness for the future xx
