Lynsey & Jamie

I met Lynsey and Jamie back in January to discuss their July wedding. I entered their lounge and was greeted by the tiniest little kitten I've ever seen and Lynsey went into full detail of how they rescued this poor little guy and his mum and added them to their growing feline family! They were clearly animal lovers, very animated, and just full of beans. I knew instantly they were my kind of people.

These guys compliment each other so well, it's like they are two halves and just make up the perfect couple together ❤︎❤︎.  Jamie is silly and always has a huge grin on his face, and Lynsey is calm and organised. So much so she has an uncanny likeness to Monica from Friends with her organisational skills... to the point of having a clipboard with the schedule of the wedding day and a set of headphones!! We did laugh when she whipped these out!! But that aside, she is so thoughtful and put so much effort into all these tiny details for her bridesmaids and flower girls, and even got me a little camera charm!! Which I LOVE!!

On the morning of their wedding the heavens opened, the skies rumbled with thunder and I was unsure whether I would need my umbrella or my tube of sunscreen!! Thankfully the latter as it soon cleared and it was such a glorious day! Lynsey and Jamie got married at Plum Park which is so unbelievably gorgeous!! It was a little on the hot side, but there was so much shade there and just lovely green trees it was a perfect setting! After L & J became man and wife they went off for a little drive in a vintage car (I can't for the life of me remember what it was except it was very pretty, and the driver was so friendly!).

The speeches were incredibly emotional, and I know everyone paused for a beat when the best man Dean made his speech. Lynsey, Jamie and Dean had all lost a parent, and it was heartwarming to hear how they had been there for each other through that impossible time. He really emphasised how important friendship is, it really was a stop and think moment. One of the saddest speeches I've heard, but he quickly turned that around and made it into one of the funniest; sharing some cracking stories from Jamie's past and had everyone bellowing with laughter.

After the wedding breakfast (of which I enjoyed an AMAZING slice of cheesecake!) I finally managed to whisk the bride and groom away for a little time with them and the sun was just starting to soften. I love this light. I'm sure Jamie and Lynsey thought I was a little crazy when I got excited over sunflares and shading, and glowing light. Lynsey whipped out her orange wellies and orange brollie which I think really highlighted the type of people they are, bright and happy. I love doing weddings like this, it's almost effortless.

As always, it's so special to be a part of this momentous day. I hope I have done it justice. Here are a few of my favourites from the day xx
