What a great start to the wedding season for me this year with Sam & Nathan's shabby chic wedding in March! After weeks of relentless cold and rain, I was just overjoyed to have such a sunny, blue-skied day for their wedding. They totally deserved it.

I know Sam through the pre-school my daughter attends, and when she asked me to be her photographer for her wedding I instantly said yes! They are such a fun, outdoorsy couple I knew it was going to be a lot of fun, and that they would be up for pretty much anything! Including muddy fields... ! Arriving at the house was a bustle of activity as I entered, everyone getting ready but all laughing and just enjoying the morning. Nathan had left a huge box full of little surprises for Sam to open and it was so heart warming watching her go through all the sentimental things he had done for her (he's a keeper Sam!).

When I asked these guys what was the most important thing to them on their wedding day (besides getting married!) they told me they were so swept away by the campervan they had hired out; 'Daphne' from Pear Tree Weddings. I'm not big into cars, but wow when I saw that campervan in a gorgeous duck-egg blue finish, I was really blown away! Pear Tree Weddings had been restoring it, and this was its first wedding! I love ALL the photos with this campervan in, the colours are just so dreamy, especially with the bridesmaids dresses, and the simple yet gorgeous flowers for the bouquets done by Elaine Sturges were the perfect accompaniment.

Sam was just the picture of epitome and beauty dressed in a lace Alexander gown with buttons all down the back, and lace up shoes. Every detail was accounted for. Everything had been hand made to perfection to give such a rustic country feel.

These guys are so cute, and totally made for each other. I had SO much fun photographing their wedding and am just over the moon for them! Wishing them and their darling little girl Maddison such a happy ever after! XxXx
