Sonny; Sonny-o. My Good Boy. David calls him ‘The Big Guy’ (as does my nearly 3 year old which is quite comical, I think she really believes that is his name, that and ‘Suzzy’).  I can’t believe he is 1! I have always heard there is a different bond between Mother and Son and I never really got it until I had him. I adore my girls to pieces, they are my life, but there IS something different about how I am with Sonny. I just can’t seem to stop hugging him, he is just such a calm soul. He takes everything in with his big orb-eyes and contemplates the world while we all rush around in a storm. I look at him and it makes me stop for a moment and take a breather.  David says he is my ‘eye of the storm’, my inner calm.

Such a good boy, like unbelievably. I would always be so envious of all those calm, well behaved children while my girls were slowly making me question my sanity… and now I just utterly appreciate how chilled out his is. Almost horizontal, to the point where he isn’t even crawling yet. Yep, a year old and not crawling. He IS thinking about it, (amongst other things like what he can chew on next or who he can grab a cuddle from). I know he has us all wrapped around his chubby little finger, so the girls pretty much fetch everything he could possibly need, and then some.

I’m super proud of my boy, I have just signed his modelling contract and sent it back- whether or not this amounts to anything I don’t care. I just love that someone else has seen how gorgeous he is. Under ‘Special Skills’ I put- ‘Great hair, loves the camera’. Seriously, whip out the camera and he’ll get those big-saucer-eyes and mega-watt smile out. Compared to the girls, he is so quiet, even his giggles are mute in comparison to their loud bellows. He adores them to pieces, his whole face just lights up when they fuss over him.

I am head-over heels with my gorgeous children; I am so utterly lucky to have them in my life. Hence all the photos I just can’t seem to stop taking! Here’s my boy, a year.
