Colin and Lucy know how to live life, they embrace it with every part of their being. Their wedding day was full of excitement from the moment I arrived at the hotel where everyone was getting ready. Their daughter Sophia was racing around the room, bouncing off the bed, twirling around. She couldn't sit still, there was so much energy flying around everywhere!
Later, I got to the church and typical BBC got the weather wrong (this is exactly why I never check anymore!) and soft rain started falling hours before it was due. Lucy arrived with her father with the top down in a beautiful Bentley, totally not worried by the rain. We discovered the flowers had been left at the hotel (oops!!) so her amazing friend Leanne drove the half hour round trip so that Lucy had her sunflowers to walk down the aisle with. Despite the ceremony starting late, everyone was so chilled out, the church were amazing, everyone was just so happy to be there!
Following the service, we beelined to the venue as the rain started falling a lot harder, I managed to arrive before the guests and had a bit of a wow moment when I found my way through candle lit caves and large stone archways to the marquee. It was so beautiful! Despite the rain, everyone was laughing and having an amazing time. Lucy was beaming and so very happy to have her parents sharing the day with her and Colin after a long arduous journey all the way from Brazil.
Later that evening, after the icecreams and speeches, the jaeger bombs came out (non alcoholic for the littles!). These guys know how to party. I left them that night getting up to all sorts on the dance floor!
It was a pleasure to photograph such a happy wedding. xx
