When I first met Caroline and Paul in a cosy little pub on a wintery day, I instantly liked them and was so over the moon when they asked me to photograph their wedding. They had just got engaged and were planning their wedding 6 months away, and were SO excited and just buzzing with love and happiness. They radiate such warmth and energy and it was clear from the huge turn out at the church that they have this affect on everyone they meet as it was packed with all their friends and family.
The day itself was a chilly one, but Caroline arrived at the church with the warmest smile and all the bridesmaids had lovely pashminas to keep them warm. I had a wonderful surprise when I bumped into Verity and Houston whose wedding I photographed a few years ago as they were setting up cakes for after the ceremony! It was fab seeing them again and they were so happy to be celebrating with Caroline and Paul. It was a very heartfelt ceremony, followed by the reception at the Golf Club in Stagsden where friends and family had beautifully transformed the room to surprise the happy couple. While everyone was having their drinks, we grabbed some golf buggies and braved the wind and chill and went for a hilarious ride across the fields to find some great spots for some photos. Thankfully I was chauffeured so I was able to take some (bumpy) photos while we were driving. I'm amazed at how fast those buggies can go and we struggled to keep up with Paul's driving!
I know Caroline and Paul had an amazing, unforgettable day and I am so thankful to have been a small part of it. I wish them and their lovely family all the happiness in the world. xx
