Some days you just have freakish weather. My heart did skip a little beat when I opened my bedroom curtains on Jenny and Matt's wedding day to be greeted with giant, fluffy snow flakes. Staying positive I thought that would make a great shot for later... if it continued. When I arrived at the house with all the girls getting ready, we were all so relieved to see it was actually drying up a bit outside, and everyone was super chilled having their hair and makeup done. The girls looked amazing in their dresses (made by Jenny's super talented mum!) and their hair do's were like pieces of art! Jenny looked so beautiful in her sweet-heart dress, and the flowers filled the room with their intoxicating spring scent. Unlike outside... I grabbed my coat and my cameras ready to walk to the church, opened the front door, then closed it again. Torrential HAIL! Packing my gear away I made a run for it and thankfully the church was literally a few houses down so I didn't get too drenched.
The ceremony was beautiful and also so relaxed. Jenny's Uncle ran the service, and her little cheeky nephew enjoyed having the limelight by going up on stage and having a good look around while everyone sang hymns. We managed to dash outside for some group shots and then felt a few patters of what we thought was rain, minutes later the heavens opened again for another hail storm! I've never seen so many people move so fast!!
All this crazy weather did make for dramatic skies and we grabbed some great shots of Chicheley with moody clouds in the background. Despite the cold and the wind, Jenny and Matt were amazing and humoured me with some of my more out there photo ideas.
It was such a fun, super chilled wedding. Everyone had a huge smile on their face the entire time, and I loved every minute of it. Thanks for a great day xx
