Church bells, nervous smiles, mounting excitement..... it can only mean one thing!! Weddings!!! And I'm so happy to be back after 2 months without one!! Samantha and David tied the knot on the 21st March at All Saints Church, Milton Keynes Village and it was just everything I expected and more. I met Sam a few days before at the church to finalise our timings, and was blown away by the beauty of the location. The impressive church made me look at it in such awe and I was so excited about the upcoming Saturday.
Initially Sam and David were planning a small 'do with family and close friends, but after word spread that these two Scout Leaders were tying the knot most of the village turned up to send their love and best wishes. And I can see why, these two people are so kind and thoughtful, and so passionate about being a part of where they live. I can really see how they have made an impact to their community and the huge role they play in it. Sam's son Adam walked her down the aisle and he was just beaming with pride. During the blessing the Reverend invited all three of their children up to take part and it was a special moment to witness them united as a family. So many of their guides and scouts turned up in their uniforms and greeted the newlyweds with a Guard of Honour leading out of the church.
Following the ceremony, Sam and David bundled into their pride and joy, their very own 1949 Series 1 Landrover with everyone following in procession to meet them at The Swann Inn. We had a few quick shots at the phone booth and darling little bus shelter before Sam and David joined an entire pub packed with all their special people for a chilled out Saturday afternoon meal.
A great start to the year, and I'm so excited about the rest to follow!! xx
