I love how two families come together at weddings. There was such an amazing bond between Karen and Carl's families that I wasn't sure who was related to who, they were all just so united together. This was my last wedding of the year, and I knew it would be amazing, the skies were so clear and immensely blue, the wind had (finally!) dropped, and although it was FREEZING outside, everyone was just so brimming with happiness that it didn't matter, we hardly felt it! (The bridesmaids might disagree with me as they stood outside wearing just their pretty dresses and no coats!). Everyone was so accommodating, and more than happy to pose for a big group photo outside the amazing Chicheley Hall, one of my favourite venues.
Karen and Carl had decked the venue out in beautiful Autumnal colours, and the ceremony room was stunning with hessian bows tied around the chairs, and a hessian carpet scattered with brown and gold leaves leading down the aisle. The wedding cake was stunning featuring Karen and Carl in their running shoes, another theme of the day, with the tables decorated with race numbers from all the runs that they had completed. I loved how they even had their running shoes with them, so they kept warm by running a few laps up and down the long drive whilst I snapped away!
This was such a fun wedding, and I honestly couldn't drag myself from the dance floor as everyone was just so up for it, even their 89 year old Nan was making shapes! I left buzzing with a goofy big smile stuck on my face.
Wishing this couple and their families lots of happiness and love, and of course a very Merry Christmas. xxx
